I have small tetras...Rummynose and Flame tetras...around my 2 angels and they always show good coloring. Also, my neons and glowlights are in a 29g with a 4 inch, mean Opaline gourami and they still show good coloring. It may force them to school more, but it shouldn't stress them out...especially if you have some plants (fake or live) and other hiding places for them.
