I use the eco-complete as well ... I really like the size of it and the fact it doesn't have the "packing" problem some face with other sands.

Maybe it's the constant supply of veggies that keeps mine "regular" their nicely shaped uuummmm ... if it can be nicely shaped any way it looks like little 1/2" pellets, I can take pic's if you want ROFLMAO

tanks: 100, 55, 46 BF, 26 BF, 20L, 5 fry tank 20L planted with CRS is the only thing up (easy for the wife to care for in my stead)
