hatchet fish are mainly top dwellers,but they can jump high so can be dificult to keep,betta would go nicely in your tank i think,most fish with upturned mouths are top dwellers, rainbow fish,gouramies,and most livebearers hang at the top but do ventue into mid level often.cant think of anymore, bear in mind some of these fish wont be suatable for your tank
