I cycled a new tank at work with pure ammonia, (not hard to come by since I work in a lab), it seemed to take forever! (It didn't really, but it always seems that way, doesn't it?)
I did give it an extra two weeks after the nitrites went down, just to be extra careful. I ordered two dwarf puffers from That Fish Place, and they arrived via Fedex about a half hour ago! They seem happy, active and healthy. They're adorable! They are TINY. They're so small, you can't see them in the phone-cam picture, but I thought I'd take one for posterity. They're now acclimating. It's nice to have little mouths to feed again. I haven't had a puffer in a couple of years, and I am such a puffer fan.
