First link is very informative but can be hard to read.........
Second link is all but useless IMHO and IME.

Greenwater is common and not difficult to get rid of cheaply also with no chemicals.

A 3-5 day blackout followed by a 50% waterchange works great. Be sure to cover the tank with a blanket to prevent ALL light from entering the tank.

A Diatom filter or uv filter will clear it up in 24-48 hrs. Be sure to do said waterchange afterwards.
