I was thinking of trying to do a 20 gallon long brackish tank, here's what I was thinking of doing with it:
- Mudskipers, depending on the specie, 1-3 (I would like to get the Indian dwarf, if I can get the store to order them or find a place that has them.)
- Driftwood and mangrove (or similar) roots for them to perch on and make territories
- Brackish water 'OK' plants (Anacharis, Hornwort, jave fern, jave moss, etc.)
- Some rock 'islands'
- A sand bank, the plants to help keep this from eroding
- An underwater filter (I'm not sure which are considered to be good ones, I would love suggestions!)
- Some crabs, fiddlers and red claw (can I have both, or only one kind? Is one better then the other to have?)
- Maybe some mollies, depending on how many other fauna I have in there
- that tank would be 1/3 -2/3 filled with brackish (1.008 - 1.012 right?)
Now here's another question. I've been considering redoing one of my ten gallons, since i never really came up with a good theme or did much with it. If I did one dwarf mudskipper, a few crabs, and maybe 1-2 mollies (or I could skip them) could i do this in the 10 gallon? I think my mom thinks I'm getting too many tanks
Thanks!
