BBg's aren't that "sensitive" and your sG isn't at a high enough (or at least, shouldn't be) level to cause too much concern. 1-2 hour drip acclimation like said should be all you really need.
What you've listed as the basics sounds alright, though, Don't mix fake plants with live plants! Either one or the other
. Don't forget to add in the food, salt, hydrometer, etc.
