I bought a book that's pretty easy to read and understand without all the technical stuff to try to grasp. Saltwater Aquarium Models by John Tullock.

I also like The New Marine Aquarist by Micheal Palletta. Easy read as well, even includes a checklist in the book you can make copies of !!
