almost zero is not "fine," no offense. nitrite and ammonia are highly toxic to fish. nitrate is the ONLY thing that should be greater than zero.
did you recently change a filter cartridge or do a large water change?
how big of a water change do you do every other week? with 2 angels in a 30 gallon tank, i'd recommend at least 1/3 every week.
honestly, i've read that angels need a bigger tank than what you have. i wouldn't put 2 in a 30 gallon. 40 or more is probably a better bet.
