There are some gold killies from florida that are kind of like minnows in that the use the top of the water and people use them for bait. These are the mean ones. The fish pic I saw that looked most like your pics colorwise was a Medaka (Japanese killiefish or ricefish) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oryzias_latipes .

These fish look small in the pics. I'd bet they'd be ok in the 10 for awhile while you track down an ID. All killies jump. So seal every hole.
