I picked up a couple betta today (actually got for free from petco since they were mislabeled and I'm friends with the guy there). I got a crowntail plakat male (white/red) and a blue crowntail female. I put them in a 5g with nothing but a heater for now until I get a set up for them. She's in a breeder net. Well it's been about 4 hours and there is already a bubble nest going up. I'm impressed!

I'm still not 100% sure what to give these guys as a home. Do I need to get a filter for each (probably 1.5g tanks) or can I just do like 30% changes twice a week and be good?
