Hey all. I'm almost ready to start my new 30 gallon. The tank was a gift and was previously used for a turtle, so the water level was only about halfway up. There are a couple of scratches from rocks and such but the main problem is a serious ring of hard water stains. Any advice on how to remove them safely before I fill this baby up?
Since you mentioned the tank onced used for turtles, did you clean the tank before adding water? Any residual bacteria from the turtle tank will cause problems and kill your fish.
i use a razorblade first and then a scotch-brite pad and some CLR or Limaway to scrub off the rest...
