well males are more slender, mature females are fat, In the ordinary zebra danio, the males' yellow white areas (stripes and on the dorsal fin edge) are a much stronger yellow. males are usually smaller and more vibrant in color. that probably didnt help much but im sure someone else can be more descrpitive.
