They will need to know the measurement of your tank, how many gallons it has, what kind of lights you have, what kind of substrate you have, and any other information you can think of.
If your looking for the bare minimum low light plants you can use Java Fern, Java moss, Hornwort, most types of Crypt, Anubius, and I hear Anacharis will work although I've seen it labeled as needing bright light. I've had all these plants in my tank for the past month or so with very low light and very tall tank and so far I'm only having problems with the Anubius getting brown algae which is common in new tanks, the moss browning some but I think I caused that from messing with it too much, and the crypt has browned a bit in my 2ft deep Hex tank. The java fern and hornwort are doing great so I would have to say those are the two easiest ones.

Java fern should be tied to a piece of driftwood or to a rock. It isn't buried in the substrate, so it doesn't matter what you choose.

Anacharis, java fern, and anubias will grow in nearly any light IME. There are many crypt species that work well, however, these can be prone to rotting away when lighting/water properties are changed.
