Default puffers

hey guys i have a pair of figure eight puffer fish, they are about 2 inches long and live peacefully with an albino pleco,(see the attached photos) they are in full freshwater not brackish like people think and i feed them frozen brine shrimp and once a week a clam (halfshell) because they need to grind down their beaks on something hard, if you have any questions on raising puffers just ask here.

they will be fine in freshwater for now, but they need to be in brackish water as they grow older

these puffers are figure eight puffers and they can live in freshwater their whole life just fine.

True, but it is usually best to move them to lower brakcish(~1.005). Most people notice more activity, better color, and just overall healthier puffers when F8's are in brackish water. This author kept a figure eight puffer for 18 years, in brackish water of course. Just some thoughts...

Not that I know of. Figure 8s are brackish, plecos aren't. Where did you get your info on Figure 8 Puffers from?

i know figure eight puffers must be in brackish when they get older, but for now they are doing pretty great in pure freshwater.
