think 1 of these would be good with a 6-8 inch freshwater crab? also... will be a terrairum (dont know how to spell it), so the crab can go in and out... or would the crab be good by itself?

I don't see anything good coming out of housing a crab with a turtle. If they didn't try to tear each other apart, the large amount of turtle waste would still ruin the crab's whole day.

If the turtle and crab are the same size, and the tank is quite large then I don't see why not. Although you need to regually monitor the water conditions as crabs are a lot less tolerant to ammonia/nitrite build up than turtles. Actually the turtle couldn't really give a toss.

If you have a big enough tank with enough hiding places, pH of around 7, you can keep virtually any fish together as long as all the fish are around the same size and these two groups of fish are avioded: Serrasalmus Tetradon(figure eights and dwarfs are the exception). I keep a successful community of fish in a 4 foot tank including the following families: Cichlids, tetras, loaches, gouramis, barbs, rainbows, livebearers, killiefish, catfish, puffers. |

this thread is almost a year old. he prolly isn't even looking into housing them together, or interested in them. please look at dates on posts before you bring a dead post alive.
