I am going to get a firebelly newt soon and I was wondering if any one has one here. I would like to know how to set up the tank and what to feed it. I do not know any place that sells live food, and when I checked my local petsmart they didn't have any. Actually I know one place but they sell mealies will that be too big? The tank is going to be a 10 Gallon Cycled. I am going to put java fern and Java Moss in there, fill it half up with water and put some islands and a big peice of malaysian driftwood in. That is all I know how to take care of/ have thought of. How do I setup the plants? Heavily or lightly planted? I have heard java moss grows a lot. Any help is appreciated.

that sounds like a nice enough tank. About feeding them. Whenever i feed mine i put them in an extra little plastic thing with like 1/4" water in the bottom and drom some worms in there. they like the live worms.
