Default newts are dying???

ok, so i had tadpoles in my pond and they have been in my 5 gallon tank for the last month, today about 5-6 have just turned into newts but at leat 3 of them have died?

why is this?

i have plently of places for them to go completly out the water, i am feeding them algae tablets and proper frog food, daphnia
i ahve just lowerd the water even more and turned the filter off.

have you seen them eat? I don't know anything tadpoles and newts and such. Where have you been finding them dead? In the water? or out?

How far along are they in development? At one point many tadpoles radically change in needs and diet, so it could be this.
