I have a mature African Clawed frog that I like to give live food. The other day I went to the pet store and asked for feeder fish. They gave me about 20 goldfish (even though I asked for 10). Is it okay for my ACF to eat them? Today I read that they have an enzyme that makes it hard for the frog to absorb vitamin b and that have a spine that can cause damage. Is this true!? She only ate a couple of them, but now I have stupid goldfish mucking up my nice clean frog tank! If she can't eat them, what should I do with them?
You can always put them in someone's pond. If you don't think your frog can eat them I think it's your best bet. Also any freahwater streams would be alright as well. I don't have much exp. with frogs but if your freeing only live food to it I don't think that's really great no matter what fish your feeding it.
