My guess is that since it's called the Atlanta Area Aquarium Association that it's in Atlanta, Georgia, USA Maybe.

Anyway, sounds like you Atlanta people have a lot of fun at those auctions.

Heh yep it was me... But well I wanted that snowlepard... (100 bucks)... The next highest if I remember was some of those awesome Tropheus... of course they were much more than one fish in those bags. (I recall a bag going for 95 right?)

Anyways I hope the sellers were happy this year, there were some surprising bids, but all on great fish.

I will post some pictures of the fish I got soon, and auction photos. (I didn't take as many this year, sort of got too busy carrying fish.

Oh and Ken great job as always... and I swear I don't talk that loud I just am tall and easy to pick out

And of course it was great to see the new people there. Remember next month we a great speaker/photographer on dwarf pike, so I hope to see you April 3rd.

Oh and you all saw what we were doing today with running the fish. It went fairly well but I first want to thank everyone that helped out, and I want to remind people that we are going to need the same type of help come July.

Ok need to grab something to eat and transfer fish. Will post pictures tonight.

It was a great auction as usual; I think it was bigger than the previous ones, just to make us practice a little bit for what's coming up in July...

Ok so here are the shots I took... I did nothing to them. If for some reason you don't want a shot displayed then send me a pm.

Sadly I didn't get any shots when things were really going on... IE only very start and all done (IE the last shot is the very last people waiting to pay for there new goodies...)

(And Ron... hope you like the picture Though I think Dino wins...

Ours was in Atlanta, GA, USA. We sell and buy fish, plants, and equipment. Its like any other auction, ours ran from 11 am to almost 5 pm. The fish club gets a percentage of each sale price. We get rid of extra fry and find fish you don't often see in stores. Find a local fish club, and you will find an auction or trading post eventually. Look in the back of a an aquarium magazine for a list of aquarium societies.

yes, it was a great auction! I thought there seemed to be a lot more buyers than last time, but fewer items. Good quality stuff though, and lots of variety! I was more than excited to get my Rasbora Espei and Danio Kyathit. Almost impulse bought the whole lot of microrasboras, but we just don't have the floor space for more tanks. Regardless, it was great to see them in person.

Nathanberry, As long as they're bagged in clean water with plenty of air, there shouldn't be any problems - fish are bagged up for much longer when they're shipped across the world I've never seen a fish not sell, but if that happens, it just goes home with its seller.

Well this auction we had 1 no sell, and as said the owner just took it back home.

Before the no sells are often just picked up by people like me at the end if no one wants them... (IE even the original owner left them.)
