I'm in florida and I just want to drive up for the auction. do I still have to pay the 50 dollars to get into the auction? let me know. if I do I might just come for the whole weekend.

The auction, and fishshow are open to the public, ie free. (The registration fee is for the talks.)

No, auction is free to attend, just come early and register. It still might be worth it to come Sat. noonish and see the show and vendors (also free) before everything is taken down.

So are the sessions the only thing you need to register for? Everything else is open to the public?

All the stuff you need to pay for is up on the net. Trips, shirts, banquet, etc.
