I know I always have the weird ones!
Okay, so I got new angel fish to replace the ones I lost and am about to take them out of quarantine (been there 3 weeks) but I have a question about one of their behaviors. My white veil fin twists his tail and top fin like a pretzel sometimes!!! It usually happens after I give them some form of pellet food so I was assuming it was from constipation or something. Anyone ever come acrossed this behavior before? I want to add them to my main tank but don't want to if they are not right physically or "mentally" LOL I should also mention that "he" can go days without showing this behavior and it usually doesn't last for more than a day. |

It sounds like he's really serious about fin clamping. I've seen my angels pull their fins in so tight they look like a silver dollar with a piece of string attached.
If he does this when you feed the pellets, I'd stop the pellets. You may also want to throw in some shelled peas to help with possible constipation. |

Yes, mine did this after being treated for internal parasites for about 2 -3 days. It looked like clamped fins to me also. I didn't see it in the tail but definitely in the dorsal they rolled them a bit.
