Question Food for the Fishies!

I have been feeding "tetramenu:tropical flakes" and Freeze Dried brineshrimp. I tried feeding pellets to the betta but he just spit them out. I know the betta is a carnivor, and I think the mollies are omnivors(them never turn down the shrimp). I have also never actually seen the cories eat...

What would you guys feed my fish?

I have heard frozen foods are really bad(I can't remember why), myth or fact here?

Any advice, or things I should know?

Myth. My bettas won't eat pellets anymore, only live and frozen worms. Cories and mollies are omnivores. A good quality flake food and veggies are good.

What is considered good quality? And when you say veggies, can I stick a carrot shedding or something like that in there?

I wouldn't use a raw carrot, no, but a blanched one. Zucchini, cucumbers, stuff like that is also good. Seaweed sheets like the kind used for sushi are great.

Good quality prepared foods from companies like Tetra, HBH, etc.

The thing about frozen food is you have to be careful of the source. You don't want food thats been thawed and refrozen. I prefer Hikari brand frozen foods (I had a problem with parasites & in the same week or so found an odd bug in the food of another brand). My bettas love their pellets - I feed Ken's betta microcrumble. I also feed a variety of flake, frozen, freezedried & live.

I would feed the cories some type of sinking pellet. I use shrimp pellets. Mine will also devour algae wafers.

I have bought alot of food from Kens fish and have been really pleased with it.

I have the Hikari Freeze-dried brineshrimp! The frozen and live foods are something you get at a small local petshop right?

I also foung an article on feeding veggies too, so I am going to try that out!

That's odd. My betta absolutely loves his Betta Bio-Gold! He does get two bloodworms every Tuesday and three small brine shrimp every Friday, though.
