Cloudyness can be caused by too much fish poo, too much uneaten food, or suspended algae. Try siphoning the bottom of your tank, and if that doesn't work, bring in a supply of Daphnia to eat the algae or cover the tank with a lid to shade the light.
The safe 'zones' for water chemistry is as follows: Ammonia-- 0-.15 ppm Nitrite-- 0-.5 ppm Nitrate-- 0-40 ppm Hardness (gH)-- most fish are fine with any level of hardness, though you may find it easier to spawn fish in softer water Alkalinity (kH)-- anything above 4.5 is usually good. As for the fry, your male guppies might not all be males. Are these fancy guppies or feeder guppies? If they're feeder guppies, it is sometimes harder to tell the difference bewteen the sexes, but there's a sticky thread on the top of this Livebearers subforum that describes how to tell the difference between male in female.

How long has the tank been up? Did you cycle it before adding the fish? Are you sure they are guppy fry or can they be platy fry?
The cloud could be a bacterial bloom from the tank cycling. The numbers should be ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 40 ppm or below. don't know for sure about gh and kh, sorry. What are the "couple other fish"?

The numbers should be ammonia-0, nitrite-0, nitrate-0 to 35 ppm.

Wait a few weeks and see if the cloudiness goes away on its own. You could try fresh carbon in the filter. For the non-metric 125L = 33 gallons.

Don't use chemicals to alter the pH. Your tank is cloudy (nathan) because of the powder.

the tank needs a lil more time since it is still cycling (nitrogen cycle) change 25% of the water each day for the next 10 days without vacuuming the gravel just yet since we want to promote the beneficial bacteria growth - after the 10 days, then you can start your weekly maintenance routine of 50% water changes with the vacuuming.
