Default T5-HO for FW?

Can anyonw tell me about Tek-Light T-5 HO light system? The 4 bulb system is 156 watts and runs about $370. The ads for that system seems to imply that it's for a reef tank. I am looking for lights for a deep fw planted tank. What do you think....is it serious overkill?

My friend says he uses 6 Bud Lites and it works well for him. I don't think his plants are doing very good though. That's a Superbowl day joke...sorry.

What size tank are we talking about? And what are the dimensions? The T5-HO fixtures can be used for planted tanks, but most times, depending on the tank size, it will be a high tech planted (co2, ferts).

Default And the answer is...

70 gallon 36" l x 18" w x 25" h.

So does that mean that if I decide to use this light, I'll have to do the CO2 thing?
