Default My Filter Died...

I might have to get a replacement part; I'm going to call the company tomorrow and ask. My question is, how long can my four fish safely go without a filter? What do I need to worry about and how can I substitute in the meantime? Thank you!

How big is the tank? Do a partial WC every day, and put an airstone powered by an air pump in the tank for extra oxygenation.

I agree with Julie's suggestions. An airstone will help move the water around and oxygenate and water changes will be your like your filter....well except with fresher water.

Thanks very much! I was already planning on a water change...the airstone's a great idea. Cool.

If you have an air pump, you can get a sponge filter. It won't be all that effective at first (about as good as an air stone), but after it gets established, it will make a good back-up filter.
