My Filter Died...

I might have to get a replacement part; I'm going to call the company tomorrow and ask. My question is, how long can my four fish safely go without a filter? What do I need to worry about and how can I substitute in the meantime? Thank you!

How big is the tank? Do a partial WC every day, and put an airstone powered by an air pump in the tank for extra oxygenation.

I agree with Julie's suggestions.

An airstone will help move the water around and oxygenate and water changes will be your like your filter....well except with fresher water.

If you have an air pump, you can get a sponge filter. It won't be all that effective at first (about as good as an air stone), but after it gets established, it will make a good back-up filter.
