Would It Be Easier?

Would it be easier to get live plants or get fake plants with an air pump?

I already have the air pump and bubble curtain it came with the aquarium kit I bought.

It is always easier to get fake plants. The downside is that they look liek fake plants.

You can buy silk plants which do tend to look better than the fake plastic ones. You can buy them from a craft store and mix and match them yourself. Personally I have several just suction cupped to the back of my tank.

Yes you can put it under the gravel. I have the one in my 10 gallon under the gravel. That one is a wand, though smaller. I also have a regular airstone in my 5 gallon that I buried under the gravel because otherwise it makes more noise. I keep that tank in my bedroom so quieter was an obvious goal
