Default What to add to my 29G tank?

I have a planted 29G tank that has been cleared except for 2 Emerald Cory Catfish, 1 Red-Tailed Shark, and 1 Pleco. Does anyone have some good suggestions on some good tankmates for these fish?

I'll agree with COM here, you definitely need more cories, maybe 6-8 more. As far as other species I can't help you there...

I'd ditch the pleco if its a common one. By ditch I mean give it away to someone who can take care of it, sell it, or return it.
I agree with pokefan (even though he's an OSU fan) :P to up the corey population. A nice tetra school wouldn't look too bad, either!

Why is this exactly? and by common what do you mean? I only ask because I have an Albino Pleco and was wondering if there is something I should know considering your comment?

I totally revamped my 29G and filled it with guppies mainly. Everything is in my signature as far as what is in each of my three tanks.

Amish: Common Plecos get over a foot long. Some species can get over 2 feet long and shouldn't be sold in the aquarium hobby. Not many people can house these guys properly.

If you are thinking that a fish only grows to its surroundings (a common misconception), that is actually not true. Fish get stunted if you house them in a tank that is too small and they will die an early death.

This is why we tell people that have a Common Pleco to return it and get something more suited to their tank size.

Here are some links of Common plecos:
http://planetcatfish.com/catelog/spe...species_id=88\
http://planetcatfish.com/catelog/spe...species_id=580

Those two only say 13" and 11", but there are pictures on the internet of Plecos that people have caught in a lake or river (someone probably released them).

4lb Pleco

Ghost Knife: I like the stocking you have in the 29g now! I think Guppies are awesome and when you can get some pics, show 'em! I'm glad you moved the Cories to your 55g as well.

Thanks, I moved the Cories on your advice. I also put two African Dwarf Frogs in my 29G and I can only seem to find one. Is that usual?

Is the tank covered well? They occasionally jump out, but a 29g is pretty tall.

If you have alot of decorations in there, it may just be hiding.

I have never kept these, so I'm not sure if they usually hide or not.

Oh I was thinking there was another reason. I know how large these fish can get. I was informed that mine could get as large as 10" Right now he is 3". My plan is to trade him in if need be but I will be running a 60g tank in a few months so he'll have a nice big home for awhile.

He is an amazing little fish. Keeps my 20g tank nice and clean and is so cool looking.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for changing the subject Ghost!
