I'm sure this has been addressed before, and I can't find the thread I was wanting to ask in.... I spent about 30 minutes looking, so I thought i'd be annoying and bring it up again...lol.
Can you only use aquarium salt? Or is there something else you can buy to use? I thought about putting a little into my betta's water, but the fish store just had huge bags. |

I use rock salt - the kind you make ice cream with - you can also use kosher salt as it has no additives. Table salt, besides having iodine, also frequently has sugar added, and other chemicals.
However, I wouldn't use any salt for a betta. |

OK I guess I'll not put in any salt right now. I keep hearing a bunch of people say to use salt, and a bunch more saying not to.

People use it to help heal torn fins and things like that, but I wouldn't use it all the time.
