Default To betta or Not to betta

hey guys. my sister is wondering what the best beginer fish. I say a betta but she wants a second opinian.

2 gal breeding tank:5 unidentified fry

Yes a betta is a great biginner fish, so are danios. They can withstand just about anything. I would go with a betta because they don't require a huge tank as other fish do. Danios are a good beginner fish, and they require at least a 10 gallon tank.

I agree with a betta. They dony need to be fed everyday, changing the water once a week, and they have personalities!

I would also agree with the two post above. My only fish is a betta and I have made a lot (really a lot) of mistakes with it in the beginning. They are hardy fish, but that doesn't mean you can neglect them. Your sister still needs to research the requirements for keeping a betta, and look up how to do general things like cleaning the tank and doing water changes.

I say a betta. They're easy to care for.
