Out of the blue I bought a 10 gallon starter kit the other day. I have no idea where to start. I have the water in and it said wait a week and let the filter run before adding any fish. My room is very hot and without the heater on...the room temp of the water is 82 degrees. It said it should be at 78 for tropical....do I have to move it to a different room?
What kind of fish can I put in here together? I wanted a bala shark but I saw someone said you need an 80 gallon tank for one of those...how about frogs? |

do you have a substrate in the tank also? you will have to wait longer than a week to stock your tank. You need you tank to cycle, if you search this site for cycling a tank you will get tons of useful info. Also others here will tell you all about it

Seems to be pretty constant. Id like to get one frog, what fish can go with them? I did add something to the tank, that came with it, I dont remember what it was called though. Someone at work said when you add that stuff you can add them within 2-3 days. I dont know.
Now that I look at this, I put it in the wrong forum....It was supposed to go in freshwater. SOrry |

Whoosh! Thanks for flying OldSalt Air.
Don't try to cycle a tank with frogs. The frogs wouldn't survive, being even more sensitive to ammonia than fish, odd as that sounds. Get the tank broken in with fish & plants first, and then add frogs. |
