Default Black marking on my fish.

Hello All and thank you for letting me be part of the Forum.

Now to Business, I have a Orange Sail Fin and and 3 Fancy Guppies.
Ive had my 10 G tank for about a year now and im noticing that my fish are starting to get black markings on them. I dont want to say it is Fungus or mold but I have no Idea what it could be. Ive tested the water and the only thing that is a littke off if the PH, just a little high. Anyway does anyone have any ideas to what this could be? It seems that the Orange color of the fish is starting to fade a little also.

Please help me, I have no idea what this could be.
Oh ya the Black spots are also on my guppies aswell.

Picture attached.

Also I just upgraded to a 30 G tank but that is besides the point.

Kind Regards.

might be ammonia burn, or something else due to new tank, when did you switch over to the 30?

The black started about 6 months ago. I put them in the 30G yesterday.
So strange I have never seen this before.

Have you ruled out the fact that most sailfin mollies get dark splotches as they age? It could also be a nutritional deficiency, or maybe you have too much light and they're getting a tan. ( seriously )

Some fish, like goldfish, when their fins get injured will grow them back black. And then I believe the color fades over time. I do not know if this is the case with your fish though, just a thought.

Blood parrots develope black spots when the fish are stressed
but i don't think this would apply to your fish if they have had
the spots for 6mths,
That is an interesting theory TheOldSalt has i think i would
go with that.

Thanks everyone and the oldSalt. The strange thing is that
my three fancy Fan Tail Guppies also show the black on the tails.

Any idea if the Fancy Guppies also may get the black markings with age.

Also let me see if I can snap a better pic for you guys.
