hiya everyone am new to this forum so just saying hi
am about to get my first nano reef up and running i have all the gear apart from my live rock which am getting this coming weekend, i was just wounder how long do you leave the lights on for to get best results, is it best to leave them on white all day and atintic all night, can anyone help lol just so i know before i start it all up thanks mikey |

depends on the light, and the type of corals, but you do want to run your white and actinic at the same time, if your lights come with "moon light" led's, you can run those at night, but its a good idea to have those kick off after you go to bed, the fish like darkness too.
as for light times, most people run around 8-10 hours, or you can have your actinics come on/off and hour earlier/later than your daylights, just replicate the dawn/dusk effect, but it isnt needed. just looks cool.
