The frog guy.
|
Hi, I have a (rather beautiful, as they all are) male betta. A few weeks ago I put him in a 20gal with a couple of smaller newt species and two African dwarf frogs (they're all my bloodworm-only eating pets, and they peacefully coexist). There is a filter, and I angeled the stream so the current is low, for I do know bettas prefer still water.
I just changed the light bulb and I noticed that lining his flowing red fins is 1-2mm if "clear" white, like a bronze cory's fin type white. As far as I know this is totally new. Could his coloring have changed naturally or is this some fungus or something? His fins seem otherwise perfectly fine, no rips or anything, and he's swimming around well and has a good appetite. Thanks- Betta splendens |

It is most likely to be natural coloring. Could you post some pics?
