Default Betta bowl

what can i put in my 1 gallon bowl with my betta besides cherry shrimp? can i put an african dwarf frog thingy? just wonderin. all comments apperciated

Why do you have to "put your two cents in"... but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to?

I wouldn't do anything for the moment, as adding more stuff will just create problems and also take the main focus away from the betta. If you want to keep a community of fish and other aquautic critters, then buy a tank, as a bowl is something that shouldn't really be turned into an ecosystem, for your benifit, and most importantly the fishes sake.

If you have a big enough tank with enough hiding places, pH of around 7, you can keep virtually any fish together as long as all the fish are around the same size and these two groups of fish are avioded:
Serrasalmus
Tetradon
(figure eights and dwarfs are the
exception).

I keep a successful community of fish in a 4 foot tank including the following families:
Cichlids, tetras, loaches, gouramis, barbs, rainbows, livebearers, killiefish, catfish, puffers.

Yeah, bowls are fine for bettas, but I wouldn't add anything else in there with him.
