December Discus Desaster Decision

So in December I bought two new Discus to add to my discus tank, making a total of five fish. what I didn't know was that the two that I had just bought had some sort of horrible disease. Of course the whole tank and $150 was wiped out and the last two to go were the ones that were sick to begin with... I decided that Discus keeping was not an option for me for a long time but I've reconsidered and decided to get one for a start and I've fallen in love with this type of fish again. Oh dear goodness...
