i want to know if its safe to put my bala sharks, tinfoil, silver dollars, pitcus catfish, and dino eels in a tank that i just put 1 tbs of salt for every 5 gallons of water in..i have 2 white tail shark catfish in there right now...its a 72 gallon tank also..

1Tbs. of salt to every 5G's isn't brackish water.
All of them fish are freshwater, so a freshwater tank is what they need. |

yeah. is it just me or lately does everyine want to out freshwater fish in a brackish tank?

If your fish are placed in brackish, they will either die or have complications., All but the tinfoil barb and silver dollar (somewhat), have complications with salt. Dino eels (actually a senegal bichir...) pictus cats, bala sharks, etc., die if placed in brackish for a long period of time...especially catfish.
I would talk about the fish you have in there already but that's another story

here is the problem with keeping salt in your tank with fish that dont need it. small amounts of salt like you are thinking will not hurt them. but, salt is a good method of treatment for many things, but if you already keep salt in the tank, then you wont have that method of treatment against the diseases or parasites, or other problems. i advise against it.
