Is there any thing that can be done to stop the mistreatment of puffers and other brackish fish in pet stores? I was in a store yesterday and there was a puffer whose teeth were so over grown, it coulnd't even close its mouth. Also the majority of puffers I have seen in stores are horribly underfed and have very faded color. Lastly, many places that sell brackish water puffers sell them as freshwater fish. If anyone has confronted this problem before, what can be done to stop these things from happening and educate people on how to care for these adorable fish?

i've heard of people kepping dwarf puffers in brackish water at petstores thinking all puffers are brackish. I think to own a petsstore you should have to go through some type of test

All you can do is speak to the owner & if he won't listen, tell him you & all your friends will be boycotting his store & you're gonna put info about how terrible he treats his fish all over the web.
