Default scat fungus?

my scat has some white growths (definately not ich) on his caudal and anal fin.
He's eating great and is very active. The only two deductions i have made is that its either a fungus or lymphocystis.I do beleive its the former has anyone run into this problem before?I ve tested the water and ammonia and nitrites are
very very low if not 0ppm.The SG is 1.011-1.012.Hes just a baby around two inches. The dealer i got him from gave me some marcyn(sp?)two tablets to be issued 2 days consecutively (4 tabs total). The marycyn doesnt seem to have
helped .Any ideas?

Upping the salt could help.

If you have a big enough tank with enough hiding places, pH of around 7, you can keep virtually any fish together as long as all the fish are around the same size and these two groups of fish are avioded:
Serrasalmus
Tetradon
(figure eights and dwarfs are the
exception).

I keep a successful community of fish in a 4 foot tank including the following families:
Cichlids, tetras, loaches, gouramis, barbs, rainbows, livebearers, killiefish, catfish, puffers.
