Default Crazy little Buggers

I have three green spotted puffers. I have had a lot of puffers before and these three are so funny and sometimes down right strange!

Puffers are supposed to be true carnivores! My other puffers would only eat, shrimp and live or frozen worms.

These three eat anything I put in there. The one I have to be careful with because he would truly eat until he exploded. They eat cucumber, lettuce, bacon and hamburgers ....
(just kidding LOL), peas, corn, zucchini, marine algae, flakes, dried food like Krill, Shrimp pellets, just everything!

Im just wondering if this is normal? Is there anything I have to be Cautious about? Like they are carnivores so will anything like that hurt their digestive system?

A varied diet is actually good for them. What's your salanity kept at as a matter interest? as I have 3 GSP's too, and 5 red eyes.

Serrasalmus

exception).

I keep a successful community of fish in a 4 foot tank including the following families:
Cichlids, tetras, loaches, gouramis, barbs, rainbows, livebearers, killiefish, catfish, puffers.

Well they do get a huge variety of food. I love when fish have a hearty appetite like that.
My salinity is only at 1.008. I have only had them a couple months, maybe less. What is yours at? Do you have any pictures of them? I love puffers, I have dwarfs as well. Are the red eye's freshwater or saltwater?

Red eyes are very aggressive though, and can only be kept with other red eyes. My salanity is about 0.007. I don't have a digital camera, I have to borrow one from my brother.

I think I remember reading about Red Eyes. I'll have to do a search. The only kind of puffers we have around here are the GSP, Dwarfs and I have only seen one figure 8. It's to bad we don't have more variety because I love puffers.

How big do the Red Eyes get?

P.S. my puffers aren't true red eyes, they are in the group of the target puffers.

I didn't know you could that, I thought the saltwater fish would die. Are they in a brackish or saltwater tank at the LSF?
