Can i get a Botia ( i think they are purplish and red fins ) to put in my GSP tank or will the salt kill the botia .. i wanted to make sure before i bought one and added it.. Thanks

They are freshwater so no. Shark catfish are a good brackish bottom-dwelling fish. Kribensis can handle brackish conditions too.

If you have a big enough tank with enough hiding places, pH of around 7, you can keep virtually any fish together as long as all the fish are around the same size and these two groups of fish are avioded: Serrasalmus Tetradon(figure eights and dwarfs are the exception). I keep a successful community of fish in a 4 foot tank including the following families: Cichlids, tetras, loaches, gouramis, barbs, rainbows, livebearers, killiefish, catfish, puffers. |

shark cats will need a huge tank though. for example, a columbian cat shark will need a tank of at least 75 gallons.

ok thanks, its a 29 Gallon tank... so is there anything i can put in there with them, right now there are balloon mollies and platies...
