I just bought two clownfish and i know that the more dominant will turn to the female. But how long does this take? Also, if i have a quarantine tank, once the eggs are made, can i just scoop then out and put them in that tank? These questions may be completely wrong so dont get mad... well if you want i guess you can. Just tell me anything that would be necesary Any help; would be appreciated

If you read this, it should help you give a better understanding of clownfish breeding.

It depends on your setup, but most guys take the eggs out if they can, or else take out the fry when they hatch with lesser results. You'll never be able to feed the larvae in the main tank.
Did you see the thread in this section called "Breeding Clownfish Successful" ? It's a link to another forums's thread, but it gives a very good idea of just what all is involved in the process. |
