Default Plecos and weather loaches!!!

I have a problem. I have two plecos in a tank together. They are very happy, but i want to add some plants to provide some nice little hiding places. does anyone know what kind of plants are best? I also have another tank with two weather loaches and a betta. i want to know if i can put plants in that tank too. will the betta be upset, or will the loaches not enjoy it? or do they both like plants? thanx for any advice,

Yes, tank size is important.

The betta shouldn't mind the plants too much, as long as it still has a lot of surface room. I would get some kind of floating plants or plants that root very well because the weather loach will probably pull them up otherwise.

Not sure which plants are great for plecos.

if you want to keep the loaches and the pleco you will have to invest in a larger tank than a 6.

ya. right now, i'm saving up for a much larger tank which i will be purchasing soo. the tank right now is very small. a 2.5 gallon! i know, very small. not a lot of room for plants or anything, but i need to know for my bigger tank. i'm looking at roughly about a 35 to 50 gallon tank. i don't have three 6 gallon tanks. i have three 2.5 gallon tanks. they are very small. i know that plecos get huge, so i will end up buying an even bigger tank for them. right now they are very small.

I'd definately get a much larger tank asap.

also, what are you feeding them? plecos make a lot of waste, and will spoil that small amount of water easily. depeneding on size of the pleco.

the algae wafers are fine that you are using but you can also give them cucumber, other people around here have said zuchinni. i would do atleast 2 water changes a week on those tank until you get a bigger tank, otherwise you will most likely wake up one morning and find all of your fish dead.

I rinse them off first. french cut, or cut in half, either work fine. I use the ones from a can. remove the skins if they dont eat that part.

Honestly if you dont move your fish soon you will do some harm. They will be stunted, also if you arnt changing the water a lot they could die from ammonia. When exactly are you planning to get a new tank?
