Default New quetions

Hi I just joined the forum Iam planning on buying a 50 gal. tank in a few weeks.I would really like to set up a cichild tank but I would also like it to be planted. Also I would like to have a school of glass fish ,would this work and what kind of cichild would be good just an idea so I can do my research,can I have different kinds .Thanks Pat

Most cichlids from lake Malawi (Mbuna) dig up plants and some eat them. Are you willing to put your plants in pots? I wouldn't put malawi cichlids with glass fish either. However there are cichlids from all over the world. Angel, Discus, Aequidens sp., Laetacara sp., Rams, & Apistos, do well in planted tanks with other fish.
