Live feeders question

Should firemouths and convicts be fed the occasional live feeder fish?
If it were properly quarentined of course.

depends what your planning as feeder and what is in the tank with them, if they are all similar size andthe feeder food is smaller i cant see a problem although i would wait for another opinion to verify that

If you had guppy fry to dispose of, you could feed them. I wouldn't buy them feeder fish. They don't need it and they can introduce diseases. Live or frozen bloodworms would be a better treat. Around here firemouth and convict fry are often the feeder fish of choice because there are always more where they came from.

I wouldn't feed feeders....home bred guppies would be okay, blackworms and ghost shrimp are better. IME, they absoulutly LOVE blackworms.
