Lightbulb Water Changes Made Easy

I know that starting off as a fish keeper water changes were my major stronghold. THEY WERE SO ANNOYING! And not to mention, slightly messy! And if you have carpeted flooring...yeah it just dont mix.

So I had to figure out a way to make water changes:
1. Faster
2. Easier
3. Cleaner

And so my dad and I came up with this GREAT way to do water changes this way!!!

I hope that this will help anyone from newbs to the gurus! Have a lovely day
-Baby B

================================================

What you need:
1. Scissors (very sharp ones) or a knife.
2. A gallon jug (a very well rinsed out milk one, or orange juice, or distilled water, whatever you have. Just make sure to clean it out VERY well!)
3. A deep tray, or bucket that is bigger than the gallon jug.

Directions:
1. Take the cutting tool of choice and cut diagonally from the top then start down (like going down a mountain), careful not to cut the handle. If you do...get another gallon jug. Dont go down too deep, just enough to have a very wide opening. Or you can go straight across with a knife then move up so as not to get the handle.

2. Dispose of the cuttings, make sure to keep your cutting utensil out of reach of small children.

3. Dip the container under the water until full, having your bucket or deep tray nearby. Once full, pick up your bucket or tray (used to catch any spilled water on the way to your water disposal area) and carry the gallon jug above it in the other hand.

4. Make your way to your water disposal area and pour water.

5. Go back to the tank and resume changes.

Will this work well for my 450g???

lol... CONSTANT/AUTO water changer: home water filter running a constant stream of water into a hole drilled inthe top acrylic of my 450g. The extra water added, means extra water overflowing into my sump... overflow in my sump leading to a drain in the floor. Will run 300g or so a week into the tank... mag36 and mag24 return pumps from my sump.. various returns pointed at the large river rock substrate to keep the waste from sitting at the bottom and get it up to overflow into the sump to be removed with frequent filter pad changes. NO MORE WATER CHANGES.

i use a pump also. with about 50 feet of hose to get the job done.

to fill, i just move the pump to the sink where i'll keep it in a bucket with the faucet running to get water into the tank.

Way to show off Danh... trender.

1.5" hose takes my 450 to half in about 3 min. all the other tanks to where i need them in about 60 seconds and then just sit around and wait while the python fills them back up.

Good idea Baby for smaller tanks. I feel if you have a tank bigger than 10 gallons a python or lees would be worth the $$$.
