Default Holding Hongi

My first holding female ever (except the wife ) YAY!!! The catch is I bought her that way from the lfs without either one of us noticing

Yes, holding eggs. Notice the "bulge" in the throat? They are mouth brooders. They carry thier eggs/fry in thier mouths then "spit" them out.

Not to rain on your parade, but unless they where in a species tank they may be mutts if you bought them that way.

Thats awesome that you got such good pictures. One of my female Eurekas is holding, but she hides, so I can't get a picture of her. Congrats! Hopefully you'll have some fry soon.
