Default Please tell me what I'm doing wrong!

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to post my first photo and I know the max. size is 97.7 kb. (the message I'm getting says my photo is 378 kb and that's why it won't upload). I'm sure there's a really easy way to convert my photo to the correct kb (all the awesome pics people have submitted tells me they all know how to do this). So, please, o knowledgeable ones out there, how the heck do I post my pic to the forum?

This happens to me as well, for my photo's are also too big for the forum.

I upload pictures to Photobucket. (www.photobucket.com).

If you don't have a Photobucket account, it's very easy (and Free!) to register. A lot of the people on this forum use Photobucket for uploading pictures of their Fish and Aquarium.

This should hopefully solve your photo size problem.

Good luck.

Yes, and then after you upload your photos, paste the [IMG] code into your post on the forums. Your picture should show up.

OK, I tried photobucket, and it's smaller now (113 kb), but I still can't upload it to the forum because the max. is 97.7 kb. So, how would I get it a bit smaller without having to use the next size down edit option on photobucket (which is too small). Thanks for the help so far, by the way.

Another option is for you to [COPY] the URL in the post, by clicking the [INSERT LINK] button.

Your photo won't be visible in the post itself, but all viewers will have to do is click the link to see it.

It is right above the text box, in which you type a post. Right next to the indentation buttons, or the color choice button. It looks like this:

From photobucket, post the IMG link into a post. You don't have to upload anything after u put them in photobucket....just copy and paste.

There is a free "image resizer" plug-in for windows you can download from Microsoft. Then you can resize a pic with a right-click. http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...ertoySetup.exe
