Default Black water extract

anyone every try the tetra aqua blakc water extract im just wondering what affects does it have positive or negitive from people that have actually used it i know it has b vitamins b2 b6 b12 and peat extract

i haven't actually used it, but from what i've read it'll lower pH and stain the water yellowish. (thus replicating the natural environment of some amazonian fish)

I haven't used it. I've heard it uses a phosphate buffer to lower pH. Even though its advertised as "natural", use it as carefully as you would a chemical buffer.

The fish like it, but if your alkalinity is high, it actually wears off in several days, leaving you wondering if you ever even used the stuff.
I say go ahead and use it if you have fish from tannic waters, but don't go crazy with it.

I would try to use indian almond leaves as they have the same effect and much cheaper.
